Sigma Precision Engineering Limited was established in 1993 by Andy Copestick. Occupying 1000sq.ft of rented floor space in the premises of the company soon established its name in supplying specialist tooling and moulding tools, special purpose equipment to the medical, white goods, bend tooling, roll die design and manufacture and automotive manufacturing industries. The company grew rapidly with heavy investment in new Plant by the partners.

With additional grants from the D.T.I. and further investment in new Plant, the company moved to a 6000 sq ft purpose built factory at Langage Industrial Estate, a modern development near Plymouth, in 1996 and now employs a workforce of 10 skilled toolmakers.

We are fully accredited ISO 9001 - 2000 since 2001 & CAA Accreditation.

We have a customer base of over 30 mainly multi-national companies.

Our aim is to provide a quality product with a reliable service to industry.

Our purpose-built site in Plymouth houses CNC's, turret mills, lathes and EDM's and Wire Eroders. These machines have all been carefully selected to give us the flexibility and capacity we need to handle the diverse range of projects, and our capability has been attested by clients from all industries including automotive, aerospace, medical, optics and printing.

Well-known names such as Toyota, Honda, Jaguar, Rover, Ford, Britax Thales, SAAB, Nissan, British Aerospace, Kawasaki and DML have all used parts that have been designed and manufactured for them by Sigma Precision Engineering Ltd.

Each project has its own engineer assigned to it. This engineer will be responsible for seeing the project through and will work either to our clients' own supplied drawings or from drawings produced by our own designers to the clients' specification. By combining the individual skills of our engineers with sophisticated machine tools and disciplines such as IS09001 2000 & CAA accredited, plus Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) we ensure accuracy and quality at every stage of the project.
